“We are born with a need for attachment and a need for authenticity.” – Gabor Maté

Past experiences, unresolved trauma, emotionally immature or narcissistic family dynamics, and attachment wounds can quietly shape how you see yourself, navigate relationships, manage stress, and respond to life. It can affect every area of life, including relationships, confidence, emotional regulation, work, parenting, and your ability to feel present and connected.

Therapy can help you better understand yourself, heal long-standing wounds, strengthen relationships, and move forward feeling more grounded, confident, and emotionally secure.

We specialize in trauma-focused therapy using EMDR, CBT and IAT to help individuals heal from:

  • Emotional abuse and narcissistic relationship wounds

  • Childhood trauma and emotionally immature family dynamics

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Relationship and attachment wounds

  • Anxiety, intrusive thoughts, emotional triggers, and chronic overthinking

  • Low self-esteem, shame, or feeling “not good enough” despite success

  • Perfectionism, over-achievement, burnout, academic or career pressure, and chronic stress

You may be struggling with…

  • People-pleasing, over-functioning, or feeling responsible for others’ emotions

  • Difficulty trusting yourself, chronic guilt, imposter syndrome, or harsh self-criticism

  • Feeling “not good enough” despite success, competence, achievement, or high performance

  • Difficulty setting boundaries without guilt or fear of disappointing others

  • Relationship struggles, emotional disconnection, trust concerns, or recurring unhealthy patterns

  • Losing yourself in relationships or repeating emotionally unhealthy dynamics

  • Emotional reactivity, emotional shutdown, or feeling disconnected from yourself

If this sounds familiar, you are not alone—and you do not have to continue carrying it by yourself.

You’ve spent years holding it together for everyone else.

On the outside, you may look successful, capable, and strong. But inside, you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck repeating the same painful patterns.

Our Approach

We use evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Integrated Attachment Theory (IAT), to help clients move beyond simply coping. My goal is to help you understand why these patterns developed, heal the experiences that created them, and build healthier relationships, greater confidence, and lasting emotional peace.

As a practicing Catholic therapist, I also offer faith-informed counseling for clients who would like to incorporate their Christian faith into the therapeutic process.

We provide in-person counseling for adults and couples throughout Sacramento, Arden-Arcade, East Sacramento, Campus Commons, Fair Oaks, Carmichael, Folsom, Roseville, and nearby communities, with telehealth available across California. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, or the lasting impact of past experiences, therapy can help you understand your story, heal what no longer serves you, and move forward with greater confidence, connection, and peace.
